University Laboratory School Names Miles Landry Athletic Director

Miles Landry's headshotBATON ROUGE, LA — The University Laboratory School (ULS) announces longtime educator and coach Miles Landry as the next Director of Athletics.

As a member of the ULS athletics staff for more than a decade, Landry has served in a variety of roles, including athletic event coordinator, junior varsity and varsity defensive coordinator, and associate head coach. In these positions, he has played a key role in shaping student-athletes at both the middle and high school levels.

“I am honored and energized to take on this leadership role within a community that means so much to me,” Landry said. “The University Laboratory School is a special place where excellence and effort go hand in hand. I look forward to continuing that tradition while enhancing our programs, supporting our coaches and helping our student-athletes reach their full potential on and off the field.”

As director of athletics, Landry will oversee the full scope of the school’s athletics program, which spans elementary through high school. His responsibilities include strategic planning, compliance, budgeting, facilities management and student-athlete development.

A seasoned athletics professional, Landry has been instrumental in the operational and competitive success of “U-High” sports. His leadership has helped propel the school to multiple championship-winning seasons and earned him the respect of students, coaches and families across the ULS community.

Landry holds a master’s degree in teaching and a bachelor’s degree in sports administration with a minor in business from Louisiana State University. He is a certified Louisiana High School Athletic Association administrator and an active member of the Louisiana High School Athletic Directors Association.

About the University Laboratory School

The University Laboratory School (ULS) is one of the six schools operated under the auspices of the Louisiana State University College of Human Sciences & Education. This model demonstration school exists to provide training opportunities for pre- and in-service teachers and to serve as a demonstration and educational research center. The College of Human Sciences & Education (CHSE) is a nationally accredited division of Louisiana State University.
