LSU Lab School Student Maryam Musa Yola Selected for Prestigious Young Entrepreneur’s Academy Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge, LA — The LSU Lab School (ULS) is proud to announce that Maryam Musa Yola, a standout student, has been selected to participate in the highly competitive Young Entrepreneur’s Academy (YEA) Baton Rouge. Yola’s selection is a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit, dedication, and innovative approach to business leadership.
YEA Baton Rouge is a transformative program that fosters the entrepreneurial talents of young leaders from across the region, providing students with the resources, mentorship, and training they need to develop their own businesses. Through the academy, participants work closely with seasoned entrepreneurs, local business leaders, and educators to bring their business ideas to life, from concept to launch.
Maryam Musa Yola’s acceptance into YEA Baton Rouge marks a significant step in her journey toward becoming a business leader. Over the course of the program, Musa Yola will have the opportunity to network with fellow entrepreneurs, pitch her business idea to a panel of investors, and gain real-world experience in managing and growing a successful enterprise.
The program is hosted at the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business, which gives Maryam access to LSU faculty from the Stephenson Department of Entrepreneurship and Information Systems, fellows of the system, LSU Innovation Park, a prototyping center, and the LSU Student Incubator for networking space and counseling.
ULS celebrates Yola’s achievement and believes that her participation in YEA Baton Rouge is a reflection of the school’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among its students. ULS high school principal, Aimee Welch-James, congratulated Yola, stating,
