Principal Frank Rusciano Retires from University Laboratory School
It is with a mix of emotions that we announce the retirement of our esteemed Principal
Frank Rusciano. After 25 years of dedicated service to our school, Principal Rusciano
has decided to embark on a new chapter in his life. His leadership, passion for education,
and commitment to the well-being of our students have left an indelible mark on the
fabric of our school community.
Throughout his tenure, Principal Rusciano has earned a national board certification, has taught grades 6 – 12 and has been middle school and high school principal and in 2001 was the Dean of Students. He started the DE program, Seventh grade Washington D.C. trip and student exchanges with Panama, Chile and Romania. Principal Rusciano has exemplified the values of integrity, compassion, and excellence. Under his guidance, the Lab School has thrived as a nurturing environment where students are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. His unwavering dedication to fostering a culture of inclusivity and innovation has enriched the educational experience of all who have walked through our doors.
Principal Rusciano's impact extends far beyond the walls of our classrooms. He has been a pillar of support for students, faculty, and families alike, always ready with a listening ear, words of wisdom, and a genuine concern for the well-being of each individual in our community.
As we bid farewell to Principal Rusciano, we express our deepest gratitude for his
years of service and the countless lives he has touched. While we will miss his leadership
dearly, we take comfort in knowing that his legacy will continue to inspire us for
years to come.
"Principal Rusciano has been a staple of the U-High family for over two decades and has served admirably, achieving many honors including National Blue Ribbon recognition in 2015 and 2022. There is no way we can replace his knowledge and expertise and we wish him well in the next phase of his life." Said University Lab School Director, Kevin George.
Mr. Rusciano is looking forward to welcoming and onboarding our new Middle School Principal before he officially retires in May.
