The LSU Lab School Welcomes Four New Administrators

July 31, 2024

new admin

We are excited to announce the appointment of our new administrative team members who will join us in leading the LSU Laboratory School into a bright and successful future. Their diverse experiences and dedication to education promise to bring fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to our school.

 Stacy Bradford, Middle School Principal

I am Stacy Bradford, a Middle School Principal with over 22 years of educational experience. Throughout my career, I have served as an executive director, principal, assistant principal, and teacher. Most recently, I was a ninth-grade success coach for the Center for High School Success. I earned my Master of Administration/Supervision and Bachelor of Special Education Mild/Moderate from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. While at Southern, I was a member of the track and field team, where I won two SWAC championships.

In 2016, I was honored as St. John the Baptist Parish’s Principal of the Year after leading my school to top gains status following a fire that destroyed the school, forcing us to relocate. The way the St. John community pulled together was a true testament to working as one.

I reside with my wife Erin and our three children: Chloe, who is a junior at Xavier University of Louisiana, Jacob, a high school junior, and Blaine, a high school sophomore.

“I am so honored to be a part of this prestigious academic powerhouse, but most importantly, excited to be a Cub!”

Dr. Ellen Daugherty, Elementary Assistant Principal

My name is Ellen Daugherty. I am from New Orleans but have been living in Baton Rouge ever since I graduated from LSU and got married. I have been married to Scott for 36 years, and we have 3 children: Sean, 32 (class of 2010), Shelby, 30, and Seth, 26 (class of 2016). We also have 2 grandchildren: Cecilia (4) and Charlotte (3).

I decided I wanted to be a teacher in fourth grade, and I have never regretted that decision. I love my job! I have been teaching for 37.5 years. I have been at the Lab School for the past 20 years, more than half of my career. Over those 20 years I have taught 1st and 4th grade. I have also served as the Literacy Specialist, Curriculum Coordinator and Instructional Coach. For the past 4 years I served as the K-2 Interventionist. Moving forward, I look forward to serving our school as the Elementary Assistant Principal!

Jayla Wilson, ULSF Senior Director of Development, ULSF

My name is Jayla Wilson. I am from Baton Rouge, LA. My husband, Derek Wilson and I have University Laboratory School Cubs, Bryce Wilson, 16 (class of 2027) and we are excited our youngest, Camilla Wilson, 5, is an incoming Cub (class of 2037).

I have worked in Development at Louisiana State University for nearly a decade. I am immensely grateful to have the opportunity to bring my experience to the University Laboratory School in my new role as Senior Director of Development. Having the ability to see how transformative education can be, I am honored to be charged with assisting our leadership in their mission to continue to elevate and transform our students’ educational experience by partnering with our generous supporters. I am looking forward to serving our school in such an exciting capacity! I am looking forward to getting to meet all our families and friends!

Andriette Anderson, ULSF Director of Alumni Relations, ULSF

Hello Cub Community! My name is Andriette Anderson and I am excited to partner with our great school as the Director of Alumni Relations.  I am from Baton Rouge, LA and am a proud graduate of Louisiana State University.  My husband and I are parents of some amazing cubs named Olivia Brielle (7th grade) and Jameson Ray (1st grade).  I have been married for 14 years to my husband, Winton, and we reside in Baker, LA.

I have a background in Human Resources and Fundraising, and I am excited to merge the two by elevating our philanthropic partnerships and building stronger alumni relationships locally and nationally. I am excited to join this amazing community as a parent, parent volunteer and now staff member!

Please join us in welcoming Dr. Daugherty, Mr. Bradford, Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Anderson to the LSU Lab School family. We are confident that their leadership will inspire our students, support our teachers, and engage our entire community in the pursuit of educational excellence.

We look forward to an exciting and productive year ahead!
