Stacy Bradford Named Middle School Principal of University Laboratory School

The University Laboratory School has named Stacy Bradford as the next Middle School Principal Bradford will begin on May 6, 2024.

Bradford has over 22 years of educational experience as an executive director, principal, assistant principal, and teacher. He served most recently as a ninth-grade success coach for the Center for High School Success.
He earned his Master of Administration/Supervision and Bachelor of Special Education Mild/Moderate from Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge LA. While at Southern he was a member of the track and field team where he attained two SWAC championships.
Bradford was honored as St. John the Baptist Parish’s Principal of the Year in 2016 after leading his school to top gains status following a fire that destroyed the school, forcing them to relocate.
Bradford resides with his wife Erin and three children, Chloe who is a junior attending Xavier University of Louisiana, Jacob a high school junior and Blaine a high school sophomore.

Bradford's appointment comes at an opportune time as University Lab School continues its mission of providing a rigorous and nurturing educational experience for its students. His visionary leadership, combined with his dedication to student-centered learning and community engagement, makes Bradford an ideal fit for the role.

About The University Lab School:
The University Laboratory School was established by the College of Education, now known as the College of Human Sciences & Education, of Louisiana State University and has operated under its auspices for nearly 100 years. This coeducational school exists as an independent system to provide training opportunities for pre- and in-service teachers and to serve as a demonstration and educational research center. The school is located on the main campus of LSU in Baton Rouge.
