Academics

Middle School

Because the University Laboratory School is a K– 12 school, a unique opportunity for curriculum continuity from elementary to middle school and beyond is offered to students.  This structure ensures that all of students receive a quality education with the goal of being prepared for college upon high school graduation.

The middle school program of studies focuses on broadening students’ academic challenges. The robust coursework offered includes studies in world languages as well as a comprehensive performing and visual arts program. The master teachers work together as grade level teams to present the students with a challenging curriculum, to foster independence, and to educate the whole student with extracurricular clubs and activities.

The middle school years are an exciting time to watch our students grow physically, mentally and socially into young adults.
