Cub Garden Fall Harvest

veggiesStudents from Kindergarten and sixth grade recently harvested carrots, leaf lettuce and other assorted produce from the Cub Garden. Maggie Richardson (Cub Club parent), Mr. Babcock, Mrs. Rosenfeld’s kindergarten and Mrs. Calloway’s RWW students picked and cleaned the vegetables. Mrs. Richardson transported the fresh produce to St. Vincent DePaul. This was our first fresh produce contribution to St. Vincent DePaul and we will contribute again from our spring, summer and winter harvests next year. Here are a few pictures from Harvest Day.

AdvancED Reaccreditation

LSU Lab School’s long awaited AdvancED Reaccreditation visit took place on November 1st and 2nd, 2011.  We received commendations for significant accomplishments in meeting and/or exceeding the seven accreditation standards by earning rankings of “highly functional” in all categories.  This is a rare accomplishment which has been enjoyed by very few schools that participate in this international reaccreditation process. Visit the Resources page for the Quality Assurance Review Team commendations.
