Our ceramics students kicked off the first day of school with a little friendly competition! Teams put their hand-building skills to the test, racing against the clock to see what they could create.
The inaugural Clay Olympics was organized by high school art teachers Taylor Rising and Erin Martinez, giving students a fun and creative way to start the year, build teamwork, and show off their ceramics skills.
What a fun way to get our artists creating from day one!

It is with great pride that we present the University Laboratory School Girls Basketball Division II Select State Champions rings.
Your basketball championship season brought us unforgettable moments. It inspired our students, energized our alumni, and gave our community memories that will be shared for generations. While banners may hang in the gym and trophies may rest in display cases, those are only symbols of what was accomplished.
Congratulations, Champions. You have cemented your legacy in ULS history.

Week 5 is about to premiere!

The University Laboratory School wishes to extend our condolences to the family of our notable alumnus and current parent, Senator Larry Selders (Class of 2000), in his passing.
Larry will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and committed member of our Cub community. While many knew him for his public service, his love for his children, education, and his community were always evident.
Our hearts are with his wife, Dr. Kendra Michael-Selders and Cubs, Luke (6th grade) and Larry, Jr "LJ" (8th grade) and the entire Selders family.
With love and deepest sympathy,
University Laboratory School

From exploring the wonders of the ocean and discovering nature around campus to hitting bullseyes in archery, serving up fun on the pickleball court, creating amazing works of art, strengthening math skills, and making unforgettable memories in Cubs Celebrate, our campers did it all!
➡️ Swipe through to see highlights from each camp, including a special visit from UHS alumnus Dylan Rousselle, who shared how he uses math every day in engineering and research to solve real-world problems—including helping develop a smaller CPAP breathing device.
Thank you to our amazing instructors, counselors, and families for making another week one to remember. We can't wait to see what adventures next week brings!
