Good evening, ULS Families,
We had a fantastic first day of school! We know the first day comes with a mix of excitement, nerves, and lots of logistics, and we appreciate your patience and partnership as we work through those first-week adjustments together.
As we head into Day 2, we wanted to share a few helpful reminders and updates:
Lunch
One of our favorite moments today was watching students fill the cafeteria with excitement as they took in the new renovation. We saw lots of happy students leaving with empty plates!
As we continue transitioning to our new lunch procedures, please remind your 6-12 grade students to bring their temporary 2026–2027 student ID to school each day. These IDs help us serve students more efficiently during lunch.
If your student did not receive a temporary ID, there's no need to worry. Some students were enrolled after the list was sent to the printer, while others may have missed the ID station during Prep Day. We know who still needs one, and we'll make sure every student is taken care of as quickly as possible.
You can view the August Lunch menu here. There are also two places in the app where you can see selecting the Parent & Community section of our school app.
Uniform Apparel Exception Late Enroll Students (ONLY)
Families who enrolled after the uniform pre-order deadline should place their uniform order as soon as possible.
Students who enrolled during June or July may wear solid black, white, or gray polos or T-shirts until we return from the Labor Day holiday while waiting for their uniforms to arrive.
If your family needs assistance with temporary daily attire, please contact the front office at universitylab@lsu.edu. We may be able to provide a temporary solution until your uniforms are received.
Need Extra Carpool Tags? (K-5 Only)
If you need additional carpool tags, please complete this form. Orders must be submitted by Friday, August 14.
*Carpool tags are only needed for students in grades K-5.
