Last week, ULS had the privilege of welcoming representatives from Memphis’ Lab School and Southern Lab School for a multi-day “Tiger-to-Tiger” institutional exchange centered on conversations that advance excellence. The visit began with an orientation and campus immersion, providing a firsthand look at the ULS experience—from instructional spaces and signature programs to the environments that shape student life.

Throughout the visit, leaders engaged in meaningful dialogue focused on executive alignment, governance and sustainability, academic-research integration, and long-term partnership opportunities. Dedicated sessions created space for deep institutional exchange across leadership, finance, and athletics, allowing teams to share insights, challenges, and best practices.

The visit concluded with strategic reflection and forward planning, identifying concrete opportunities for continued collaboration and partnership. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn from one another, and strengthen a shared commitment to innovation, impact, and the future of lab schools.
