ULS eighth graders have the opportunity to participate in a two-week exchange with eighth graders at the Metropolitan School of Panama. Participants host a MET student for two weeks in October and then travel to Panama City, Panama, for two weeks in late February.

Students depart (estimated)April 6-20, 2019 for an exciting experience exploring Santiago and Valparaíso, then a homestay in Concepción. ULS 7th and 8th graders may be a part of an exchange program to Romania during Fall Break 2018. Students compare western and eastern Europe with travel to Munich, Germany and Brasov, Transylvania. Students stay with host families in Transylvania, and ULS families host Romanian students in the spring.

Romania Exchange Overview
University Laboratory School is excited to offer a new international learning experience to high school students, current 9th-12th graders. Approximately April 11-18 2019, we will take a group of 25 students to the Dominican Republic to take part in a service learning project in a small community located in Central Mountain Region. We are thrilled to use our time to serve others and show the world that Cubs Care! This service learning experience offers cultural immersion, 25 hours of service work, leadership development activities, a day exploring the National Marine Park, and other exciting activities.

The class of 2019 is invited to travel to Australia, New Zealand and Fiji the week after graduation. During the 12-day adventure, travelers will experience the dramatic features of Northern New Zealand; explore beautiful Sydney Australia- from the iconic Opera House to a harbor cruise, and then end the trip in a true tropical paradise—the islands of Fiji. The class of 2020 is invited to travel to "Europe's Mediterranean Coast" and experience four countries on this tour of southern Europe. The will take place the week after graduation in May 2020. During the nine day trip, travelers will discover old world Italian charm of Cinque Terre, learn how the French Riviera became the place to be for generations of rich and famous, enjoy the beach in Barcelona and see how Antoni Gaudí’s surreal architecture has turned the city into one big gallery.
