The Youth and Government Program of the YMCA sponsors all Hi-Y clubs
throughout the state. The clubs are run by student officers who
undergo leadership training under the supervision of their local YMCA.
Students in Hi-Y attend two annual conferences, Youth Legislature and
Model United Nations. These conferences allow students to learn
about government, parliamentary procedure, and the world around them.
High school students may join Hi-Y at the beginning of each school
year. All members of the club have the opportunity to attend both
Model UN and Youth Legislature.
