*HINT: Think of verbs that end with silent e. Make new words by adding –ing or –ed. Remember to drop the silent e before adding the ending. (ex. have = having)

*HINT: Thing of verbs that end with a short vowel spelled with a a (CVC) consonant-vowel-consonant pattern. Make new words as above. Remember to double the final consonant before adding the ending. (ex. pat = patting / patted)
