Middle School Division

The LSU Laboratory Middle School, has been designated by the state department of education as a school of academic excellence. Our instructors, many of whom are nationally board certified, are recognized by the Louisiana Department of Education as “highly qualified” and hold masters degrees in their respective disciplines.

The middle school is organized into grade level teams.  Exploratory classes are offered to each student on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  These opportunities broaden the student's perspective on the world of learning and expose them to new ideas and skills.  Exploratory classes also serve to spark student interest in subjects they may take as electives in high school.  Classes include personal fitness, math, library science, art, health, facing history, and jazz band.  We invite you to visit our school to see the outstanding educational opportunities.
