Director's Message

Welcome to the web site for the Louisiana State University Laboratory School, continuing a tradition of excellence since 1915. The Lab School offers a caring, close-knit culture, with approximately 100 students per grade K – 12, while maintaining a rigorous college preparatory (and participatory) curriculum.

The Lab School’s successes continue to garner regional and national acclaim. ²

• For the third consecutive listing, Newsweek magazine has ranked University High as one of “America’s Best High Schools”.

• The Louisiana State Department of Education continues to recognize the Lab School as one of the ten highest performing schools in the state

• Nationally Board Certified faculty members, the Lab School has the highest percentage of Nationally Board Certified faculty in the state.
